Jeans are a staple in all our lives. We can’t and won’t live without them in any shape or size. As we head into the new season, reflecting fashion’s constant shift towards both timeless classics and bold experimentation. I want you to go over these trends and apply a few or all of these if you’re adventurous. Here is a glance into the denim trends for 2024/25 Buckle up!
1. Relaxed & Baggy Fits
This style I believe is here to stay I believe. These jeans have a laid-back vibe, fuller and definitely more comfortable than their cousins the skinny fit jeans. These are perfect for casual looks but can also be dressed up with structured pieces like blazers or fitted tops. The skinny silhouette is just about gone now, with the ultra comfortable fuller more relaxed fit taking over
2. The Low-Rise Comeback
That style from the 2000’s is baccccccccck, love it or hate it. These jeans sit at or just below the hips and can be paired with cropped tops or tucked-in shirts for a sleek, nostalgic look. If you’re bold enough to embrace this trend, opt for slouchy low-rise jeans for a more modern take.
3. High-Waisted Flares
These 70’s staples are making their way back in vogue. These fit high on the waist, fit tighter through the thigh and then flare out. Great with fitted blouses and rib knit tops. This style adds a polished, vintage vibe to your wardrobe while remaining incredibly flattering.
4. Patchwork & Mixed Fabrics
This style is having a major moment this season, offering a fun and artistic take to the basic denim trend. This is where different colored denim is put together, Not only denim but a mixture of fabrics as well. Different washes, leather, corduroy, think that partridge family bus! These are bold and not for the faint of heart.
5. Raw Hem and Distressed Details
Gone are those enormous holes in your jeans with half your leg exposed. We are entering a more subtle approach to the distress detail. Frayed edges, raw hems, and distressed details are back in a big way for 2024/25. These casual, undone elements give jeans an edgy, lived-in look that’s perfect for those who like a bit of ruggedness in their style.
6. Jeans with Embellishments
For those who love a bit of sparkle and flair, embellished jeans are back. These are those styles for us who like a lil bit of razzle dazzle. Think rhinestones swarovski crystal & metallic details, This style is when you want to add a little bit or a lot of drama to an outfit. Think shine bright like a diamond, or this lil light of mine I’m gonna let it shine.
7. Denim On Denim
Did someone say put on your Canadian Tuxedo! Denim on denim is still the rage I think it will always be if done right. Pairing different colors & washes will keep it current. Monochromatic looks can also be very chic.
8. Denim Cargo Jeans
This cargo pant has been a staple in other fabrications but the denim version is making waves for the season. The great washes also the versions with straps think Vivienne Westwood. I say try a pair of these for a fresh take on that old staple.
Denim in all its color ways, washes and styles will always be in vogue, but paired with confidence you will always be able to take on the world in style.
