What’s Irving Serving?

Let’s get one thing straight, kidz: just because you’ve hit 40 (or 50, or 60) doesn’t mean your modeling days are behind you. In fact, this might just be your prime time. Welcome to the world of classic modeling — where we slay in stilettos, rock laugh lines like badges of honor, where salt & pepper rules, and make the 20-somethings wish they had our glow.

The Myth? Modeling is for the Young. The Truth? Modeling is for the Bold.

Let me tell you something—confidence is the new collagen. And while the industry used to push us aside after a certain age, times have changed. Now? Brands are craving authenticity. They want real stories, lived-in beauty, and models (guys & dolls) who don’t just sell clothes, they sell confidence, experience, and elegance.

We’re not here to blend in, darling. We’re here to stand out — in all our age-defying, no-nonsense, camera-loving glory.

Why Classic Models Are Crushing It

Listen up, because this part’s important. Here’s why we’re winning:

  • We know our angles — and we don’t need 37 selfies to find them.
  • We’ve got presence. We walk into a room (or onto a set) and own it.
  • We don’t fake it. We’ve lived, we’ve learned, and it shows — beautifully without the gram to prove it.
  • We’re relatable. Women (and men!) our age want to see us. Not the retouched fantasy. The fabulous reality.

You think a 25-year-old can sell a luxury anti-aging cream better than someone who actually knows what a frown line is? Please. Have several seats.

Thinking of Starting at 40+? Here’s the Real Talk.

So you’re curious. Maybe you used to model and want back in. Or maybe you’ve never tried it and your friends keep saying, “You should model!” Well guess what? They’re probably right. Here’s what you need to do and if you’re reading this you’re probably already done with your shoot Congratulations!

  1. Get Photos That Show the Real You
Skip the filters, kidz. A great headshot and full-body shot with minimal makeup and natural light? That’s gold. Show agencies what you really look like. And own it. Just like the ones you did at the studio. In 4 Looks.
  2. Find Agencies That Get It
There are agencies out there with “classic,” “mature,” or “lifestyle” divisions. You can Google them, and we also have some for you Stalk them (nicely). Submit. And don’t be shy — if you’ve got presence, they’ll see it.
  3. Stay Sharp
Keep yourself polished. That doesn’t mean you need to be sample-size or wrinkle-free — it means take care of you. Skin, posture, attitude. Confidence is your best outfit. Wear it daily.
  4. Don’t Compare Yourself to Younger Models
Apples and oranges, darling. You’ve got decades of grace, grit, and gorgeousness on your side. You’re not behind — you’re seasoned.

Let Me Say This Louder for the People in the Back: YOU ARE NOT TOO OLD.

You are not too old to walk the runway.
You are not too old to be in front of a camera.
You are not too old to represent beauty, luxury, lifestyle, fashion, fitness, or whatever the hell you want. One of the oldest models who is still walking the Catwalks and we are talking about the likes of Dior, & Gui Pei Ms. Carmen Dell’Orefice 93… Yep you heard me 93

And you’re definitely not too old to inspire someone else to step up and say, “If he or she can do it, so can I.”

Own Your Age, Work Your Magic

Being a classic model isn’t about chasing youth — it’s about celebrating where you are. Every smile line is earned. Every gray hair is a crown. Every photoshoot is another moment where you get to say, “Yes, I’m here. And I’m fabulous.”

So go ahead — strut into your 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond. Book that gig. Update that portfolio. Show the world what timeless beauty really looks like.

Because classic, guys & dolls, isn’t a category.
It’s a power move.
