What’s Irving Serving?

For Guys, Dolls, and Everyone in Between

Alright beauties – whether you’re a fresh-faced teen, a mature powerhouse, a plus-size queen, a fitness king, or a commercial cutie – this one’s for all of you. The modeling industry can open amazing doors… but only if you know how to spot the doors that shouldn’t be opened.

Let’s talk red flags. Because I want you booked – not burned.

1. “Pay First, Work Later.”

Legitimate agencies earn when you earn. While there may be optional marketing or website fees in some cases, the focus should never be heavy upfront payments before any real opportunity exists. If it feels like you’re being sold a dream instead of being developed as talent – pause.

2. No Clear Contract.

Whether you’re male, female, non-binary, young, mature – it doesn’t matter. You deserve a written agreement. Know if it’s exclusive or non-exclusive. Know the commission percentage. Know the term length. No clarity = no signature.

3. High-Pressure Tactics.

“If you don’t sign today, it’s gone.”

“If you don’t pay now, we’ll drop you.”

Real professionals allow you time to review, ask questions, and make informed decisions. Pressure is not power – it’s a warning.

4. Unprofessional Communication.

DMs asking for inappropriate photos. No official email domain. No verifiable office address. Sloppy messaging. If the business side looks messy, the opportunity probably is too.

5. Guaranteed Fame.

No one can promise you runway shows, campaigns, or instant success. Agencies submit. Clients choose. Anyone guaranteeing bookings is selling hype.

6. Inappropriate Requests.

You should never feel unsafe. No private hotel auditions. No pressure for nudity. No “secret” castings. Safety applies to everyone – men, women, and minors especially. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian should always be involved.

7. No Track Record.

Research the agency. Look at their signed talent. Check reviews. Verify their website and social presence. If you can’t find proof of real work, don’t gamble your career on it.

Here’s the truth: this industry has space for everyone – guys, dolls, curve models, mature models, fitness models, commercial faces. But the key to longevity is moving smart.

Stay ambitious. Stay professional. Stay informed.

Because the goal isn’t just to get signed. The goal is to build a career safely, confidently, and strategically.
